Gaza, ( Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, Deputy Head of the Islamic Movement inside the Green Line, has warned of what he dubbed “the step-by-step” policy adopted by the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) as part of a larger Judaization scheme aimed at entrenching Israel’s anti-Muslim dogmas and building its alleged temple on the ruins of holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

“The Israeli occupation is putting into operation the step-by-step policy to ruin holy al-Aqsa and set up the alleged temple,” Khatib said in a press release.

“In 2014 Israel has turned whatever lies beneath al-Aqsa into a Jewish property, bolstered through tunnels and excavations. We detected living proofs of underground synagogues, temples, museums, and Jewish religious schools below al-Aqsa,” he added.

He said that Israel is seeking to quench its sacrilegious thirst by drawing plans for the misappropriation of whatever lies above the grounds and courtyards of al-Aqsa via boosting up its sptio-temporal division schemes.

He further spoke out against the unprecedented upsurge in the number of Israeli assailers who have been storming holy al-Aqsa Mosque and vandalizing its yards even during the holy month of Ramadan,  under the back-up of extremist rabbis, MKs, ministers, and supporters.

The Israeli occupation has set up a pre-planned agenda for settler break-ins to be launched during Jewish holidays, paying heed to neither Muslims nor Arabs, he further warned.

“The real danger of what has been going in al-Aqsa lies in the confluence of Israel’s political and popular wills,” Khatib charged.

He slammed Netanyahu’s calls for tightening grip around al-Aqsa and cracking down on the Muslim masses, declaring: “Such statements, released during a meeting of Israel’s national security council… are obviously signs of Netanyahu’s deep-rooted abhorrence towards Muslims and Arabs and of his biased stance aimed to give a push to Israeli vandalism.”

He further warned of Israel’s attempts to enforce a spatio-temporal division on the Mosque and make use of drones to keep tabs on local developments, which are all signs of a projected escalation in Israel’s desecration schemes against al-Aqsa.

He hailed the Palestinian sit-inners who have been on the alert to Israel’s vandalism.

Khatib called on Palestinians and Muslims, nationwide and overseas, to assume their responsibilities vis-à-vis holy al-Aqsa Mosque, the third most revered shrine for 1,500 million Muslims.

Khatib’s statement came at a time when extremist bunches of the so-called alleged temple organizations, escorted by large troops of the Israeli occupation police, stormed holy al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Maghareba gate and provocatively defiled its courtyards on Sunday morning.

The Israeli occupation police have come down heavily on the peaceful Muslim congregation, denying them free access into the Mosque and seizing their IDs at al-Aqsa gates.

Israeli occupation forces nabbed Palestinian elderly citizen Abu Bakr al-Shimi from the Mosque after they heavily beating him up.
